Turning stress into vitality

Change is known to be universally stressful for us. I for one experience our current socio-political landscape like that of the – par for the course change inherent in anyone’s Life, to that of significant changes on all levels of our society taking place all at once, and on steroids! Evidently, rapid change is in the air, and only ramping up from here on out for a while!

How then can we stay resourced in these times of rapid change? Can we embrace change, and move from reactive-mode, which increases our Stress, to responsive-mode? When we make this shift, we are naturally filled with feelings of connection, alignment, inner-power, and vitality. The key in making this shift lay in understanding the nature of our Minds.

Why is this understanding important? Because at the end of the day, we all want basically the same thing – to experience Heaven on Earth! True, we differ wildly around our ideas for how to best create Heaven on Earth. Nonetheless, this universal modus operandi (MO) is baked into the Humanity cake across all cultures. To be clear, I’m not endorsing carte blanche the behaviors many of us employ for creating Heaven on Earth, but I am most certainly down with this MO.

So how does this goal of all goals for Humanity relate to our Minds? Universally, across all cultures, our actions stem from our Emotional State, and our Emotional State comes from our Mind. Change the Mind, and you’ll change the Emotional State. Therefore, if we want the better world we know is possible in our Hearts, we simply need to change our Minds?

What precisely am I referring to as the Mind? Our Thinking, Beliefs, and Identity. By changing our Minds on any of those levels, we change our Emotional State; which produces actions more fully aligned with our true Identity. Consistently being who we truly are, and acting in alignment that way, produces the Results we most want to experience in our lives, and achieve our Soul-Level potential.

Universally, we seek support from a friend, family member, doctor, coach, therapist, etc… because we are wanting something in our lives to change. Essentially we want to move away from an unwanted present state toward a desired state. As mentioned in a previous blog post, symptoms and dis-ease, while problematic, are not the problem, and are most definitely not evidence that there is something fundamentally wrong with us as human beings.

Symptoms and Dis-Ease are wise messengers sent with loving intent from our beings to our conscious awareness in support of our growth, and adaptation to the current configuration of our lives; ultimately for us to increase our self-knowledge, and evolve.

In a nutshell… Symptoms and Dis-Ease herald a call from the wisdom of our inner-beings that the time has come for Transformational Healing (TH), and that we let go of our reactivity to Change, to embracing the opportunity that change always brings, which is that of Compassionate Change Work.

What is a TH session like?
How do we best configure our TH work to increase the odds of producing our desired results?
How do I best inspire and guide your self-healing, and my own for that matter?

Turns out all Transformational Healing (TH), and compassionate change-work involves 3 core phases:

  • Exploration

  • Understanding

  • Action

As mentioned above, Transformational Healing (TH) starts with symptoms, that act as messengers from within our being for us to change. Or at the very least for us to discover what we most want. It is not uncommon in the beginning that we need time and exploration to even discover what we truly desire on a deep level.

Before I proceed any further, I believe it is important to mention here that Transformational Healing (TH) is never a spectator sport, and is always an inside-out process. That said, there are times when we need some support. I have found in my private practice of Acupuncture and Classical Chinese Medicine (CCM) for the past 22 years, that my offering of Health and Wellness coaching has been invaluable for my clients. For those of you who have worked with me directly, you know that coaching has formed the core of our work together. Coaching is also the aspect of my work that I am most passionate about.

I am very happy to announce that I have added to my offering the very best coaching strategy I have discovered in my 30 years of work in the Holistic Healing space – that of The Destination Method (TDM) Coaching Strategy – I get to further my Destination Method Coaching training starting tomorrow by way of a 6-Day training entitled, “Healing the Wounded Heart ~ Core Tools for Coaches” in LA, CA.

The Destination Method (TDM) is a transpersonal coaching strategy that helps produce physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual results. ...a TDM coach is like a taxi-driver, who takes their clients from their present state to the destination of their desired state.
~Dr. Robert Dee McDonald (originator TDM – 2001)

A Destination Method coaching session flows from one’s desire for change. The first step is the creation of a therapeutic container for our work together, built on trust and a feeling of safety. I guide one from a present state to a desired state in the exploration phase by way of working together in a spirit of discovery. Throughout our session together, I use precision, dynamic listening to move our work into the second phase, that of understanding the transformational resources available to us.

With the first two phases of exploration and understanding successfully completed, compassionate change-work is easily, and effectively implemented by way of TDM’s coaching tools in the action phase of our work together.

To my way of thinking, all of this really amounts to over-the-moon awesome, deep and profound Transformational Healing (TH). Moving forward, I’m very happy to know of, deepen in, and offer TDM coaching strategy. I believe TDM forms an essential foundation for, and maximizes our success for all manner of Transformational Healing.

I look forward to getting you to your next transformational healing destination!
